1775 Whisky passport is a great club in which to enjoy the world of whisky with like-minded members. Their carefully selected malts have allowed me to experience numerous finishes and expressions that would otherwise have passed me by, even as a very keen collector and consumer of course! The informal tasting sessions allow full guest interaction and commentary making this a welcome addition to the social calendar.
Neil took the time to explain how single malt whisky (with no "e") is made and walked us through the flavour maps and profiles of different types. He answered all of our questions and told us informative and funny stories. Made me want to go to Scotland immediately - thanks Neil! Can't wait to test out my new found knowledge.
Excellent! We came away with the foundational knowledge about single malt whisky. Neil was warm and gracious. Would definitely recommend this experience to anyone wanting to learn more about whisky.
Neil was passionate about Scotch and Scotland, and this was very appealing and interesting. He was extremely well versed, but spoke about the process along with the product in a fashion that helped broaden my appreciation for the Scotch experience. I look forward to many more Drams of Scotch Whisky, with my new knowledge of the 'flavour map' and the 'Whisky' of Scotland.
Enjoyed hearing this chat straight from the horse’s mouth in Edinburgh. Always learning something new. Keen to get back to our homeland roots there some day. Hoping whiskey is the cure for COVID-19! Dale Stratford Ontario Canada
